Digital Design Intern
BORING is a digital experience agency based on the Amsterdam canals with an important mission: we're in business to beat boring websites. We help brands grow through web experiences that are both on-brand and convert. For the period starting September 2026, we are looking for a Digital Design Intern.
What you'll do
As a Digital Design Intern, you will contribute to building digital experiences, marketing websites, and landing pages for various brands such as No Art, ASICS, and KNVB.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Contributing to the structure, flow, and content hierarchy
- Developing wireframes, UX sketches, and page logic
- Developing design directions and visual concepts
- Designing interfaces and prototypes in Figma
- Designing and animating interactions, transitions, and storytelling elements
- Preparing designs for development
During your internship, you will contribute to the entire design process: from briefing to development hand-off. You will develop your skills through real client projects and learn to substantiate design choices to colleagues and clients.
What we expect from you
You are a designer with your own vision, an eye for detail, and the ambition to improve. For you, design is also part of how you view websites, typography, and brands outside of school.
You identify with the following:
- You have a broad interest in design
- You have a good sense of layout, spacing, and hierarchy
- You are intrinsically motivated to deliver quality
- You are familiar with tools such as Figma, Adobe CC, and Jitter
- You have an affinity for motion design
- You work accurately, in a structured manner, and independently
- You are open to feedback and use it to improve your work
You also have your own portfolio. School projects are welcome, but we find personal work, experiments, or side projects just as interesting.
