Webflow multilanguage: many choices, but which one is really the best?
You want to build a multilingual website in Webflow. But then comes the question: which translation solution do you choose? Webflow Localization, Linguana, or Weglot? We've used and tested them all for years for our customers, so what's the best option for a Webflow multilingual website? (Spoiler: None of them are perfect).

The best choice depends entirely on your website, your team, and your ambitions. Is it about SEO? Budget? Ease of use? In this blog, we compare the three biggest players: Linguana, Weglot and Webflow Localization. This way, you know exactly which tool to use for your project.
Linguana: budget-friendly with good SEO
Benefits of Linguana
- Cheapest option
- SEO friendly: translated URLs via subdirectory
- Bulk AI translations available
- You pay per word, but without a hard limit
- Simple in design
- Possible to modify images by language
Disadvantages of Linguana
- No visual editor
- No ability to exclude words or elements
- Only one login/account possible
- Sometimes some bugs
- External tool (not native to Webflow)
- After each change to the default language: translate that element again into all languages and publish
- Auto redirect is based on browser settings, not IP address
- Not possible to change button links per language
Linguana Price
At Linguana, you pay per word translated. Have you run out of credits? Then you just buy extra for $50 per 50,000 words. For a smaller site, the $19-a-month Starter plan is often enough (up to 3 languages).

Weglot: the most user-friendly solution

- More expensive: SEO URLs (translated URLs) require at least the Pro plan

- Not possible to change button links per language
Weglot Price
The €79 per month Pro plan is actually a must, because only then will you get SEO-friendly translated URLs. Up to 200,000 words and 5 languages, that's easy to do. If you go up there, the prices quickly get tough.

What's really cool about Weglot is the visual editor. You simply see your site as it is live, and you click directly on the text you want to translate. That works great, especially if you don't feel like scrolling through lists of text fragments (sorry Linguana).

Benefits of Webflow Localization
- Everything directly in Webflow, so no external tools
- Visual editor
- No translation limit
- Possible to modify images by language
- Possible to modify button links per language
Disadvantages of Webflow Localization
- $29 per month per language, so it quickly adds up
- No bulk AI translation. Everything has to be per page or CMS item
- Auto redirect is based on browser settings, not IP address
- No exclusion options for elements (Enterprise plan only, but is far too expensive for most)
Webflow Localization Price
The Advanced plan of $29 p/m per language is actually a must if you take SEO seriously. This gives you translated URLs and subdirectories. But do you have 5 languages, for example? Then you're already at $145 a month.

Translating content is also really cool in Webflow itself. You can see the design immediately, and you can edit everything easily. The disadvantage is that you can't translate everything at once. It really needs to be page by page, and also per CMS item separately. That takes some time, but it does provide full control.

Conclusion: there is no one-size-fits-all
There are plenty of other differences, but in my opinion, these are the most important ones. Unfortunately, as you can see, there is no Webflow translation tool that is best for every case.
